Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and writer, best known for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began as a stage performer in the 1950s starting in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions until she made it famous in the national stage scene with Li'l Abner's in the year 1957. In the same year, she released Her first album of music It's the Time for Tina. Louise first appeared in Hollywood as Griselda Walden, in God's Small Acre a 1957 drama film. This movie was a big hit and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. While a student in Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. The year 1964 saw her signing to CBS as a character, Ginger Grant. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood as well as Broadway as a somber character to counter her image of glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. In recent times, she has also become a renowned director on popular TV series like Supernatural as well as The 100. The family she was born into moved to Essex to Toronto and she lived there for growing up and in adolescence. She settled in Vancouver after she was selected to play Samantha Carter.
